Away from the bustling city of Kowloon and Hong Kong Island, Lamma Island offers a change of pace against the giant wheel of time, where the forgotten traditional culture and lifestyle of this metropolis remains. A relaxed multicultural community, integrated into a traditional fishing village, the Island offers a unique retreat for visitors. You will experience the fisherman's lifestyle, and to understand the significance of maritime history of how the fishing village shaped our metropolis today.

Depart from Central Pier to Sok Kwu Wan on Lamma Island by ferry, visit Tin Hau Temple and hike the family trail up to Kamikaze Cave to see war relics from World War II. Visit Lamma Fisherfolk's Village to taste local snacks and participate in handcraft workshops. Travel to the Hong Kong Maritime Museum in Central to learn about the maritime trade history of Hong Kong.

Take a sneak peek inside a part of Hong Kong that few get the chance to appreciate on this tour of some of the city’s more down-to-earth attractions. By using public transport you can access an oft-undiscovered side of Hong Kong, experience the city through the eyes of its locals and learn how the city lives and breathes. You’ll begin with the commuter Star Ferry, then wander on foot through the bazaar-filled narrow streets of Central, travel uphill on the world’s largest outdoor covered escalator, board the historic ‘Ding Ding’ tram and finally hit the water on a Walla-walla. You’ll also get a unique insight into feng shui with a tour of some of Hong Kong’s oldest public housing, the Wah Fu Estate, and experience an ancient ritual in the form of ‘petty person’ beating.

Pass through Causeway Bay, the Suzie Wong district of Wanchai, and Happy Valley where the horseracing tracks are located. Enjoy the scenic area of Deep Water Bay and Repulse Bay with its splendid beaches.

Then it is off to Stanley Market, which is great for bargain hunting. Afterwards, explore Aberdeen where fishermen and their families live on hundreds of junks and sampans. An optional sampan ride at an additional charge is available in Aberdeen. A visit to Victoria Peak is next. Six hundred (600) meters above sea level, Victoria Peak gives a panoramic view of the city with its famous landmarks and breathtaking skyscrapers.

As an extra attraction, a visit will be made to a jewellery workshop for a behind-the-scene look at the fine craftsmanship of jewellery making in the orient.

A journey of enlightenment to soothe your soul and broaden your mind can be found on Lantau Island. The tour begins with a cable-car ride climbing 5.7 km from Tung Chung, up the mountains to the delightful Chinese village of Ngong Ping. Here you can visit one of Hong Kong's main attractions, the PoLin Monastery where you can see the world's tallest outdoor-seated bronze statue of the Buddha. The tour concludes with dinner and a visit to the Tai O fishing village before returning downtown.

This three-hour evening walk in the lively areas of Yau Ma Tei and Jordan will give visitors a taste of local entertainment and delicacies as well as a glimpse into Chinese culture and Hong Kong society.

Visit a heritage red-brick building on Shanghai Street and the classic Yau Ma Tei Cinema, explore Yau Ma Tei Wholesale Fruit Market, be entertained in a singing parlour in Temple Street, dine at a local restaurant and stroll around Temple Street Night Market.
